I hate to junk it because the motor runs strong and the rest of the machine is in good shape.įirst I have said this before DO NOT TAKE THESE OLD DEERE'S TO A DEALER AND ASK THEM TO FIX IT. I am ready to take the tracks of and break her down but cant find the pin, or at least I'm not sure because there are about four that look like what the book describes as the one to pound out.Ĭan I adapt a transmition from another year to work in this?Ĭan I adapt the newer hydro static to fit and work? attempted to adjust the left steering, by the manual, it changes nothing replaced the hydrolic pump (this changed nothing)ģ. changed the tranny fluid and filter(it had some water in it and I don't know where it came from?)Ģ. after a loud pop on the left stearing it no longer works.ġ. there is no evidence of oil in the radiator.Ħ. the transmition overheats but the motor is ok.ĥ. ![]() transmition had some water in it because the oil was whiteish grey.Ĥ. bought it used, the motor is new rebuilt a year ago.Ģ. ![]() now how do I fix this or is it really a waste of time?ġ. Without even looking at it the dealer told me it was not worth fixing and if he fixed it he would not guarentee it. When it is cold it pulls fair but once it warms up it doesnt pull strong even thought the motor is strong. I have a older John Deere 550 dozer that the transmission has stopped working correctly and the left steering just went out. ![]()
